I passed this restaurant all the time, and I even had a doordash order from here one time, but I never experienced it for myself until recently.
So, I ordered 2 orders of Gyozas(5 or 6 pieces), which are pork dumplings, 1 order of Shumai(8 pieces), which is a shrimp dumpling, and a sushi roll called Clearview Roll. The price was about the same everywhere. I paid about $35.
Let me start with the service. I was ordering to-go, so that is all I can account for. The two ladies that were at the door were very helpful and patient. So, there are no complaints in the service area.
Ok, all of it was delicious. I didn't eat the pork dumplings, but I was told they were delicious. I dont really care for the rolls that have shrimp tempura or that is fried, but these were lightly fried, and the shrimp tempura wasn't an issue.
Now, I did take a menu and looked further and seen some other stuff I would like to try so that will be my next visit plus maybe reordering what I already know is good that all depends on what I feel like eating. So, if you have done what I did and slept on this place, stop sleeping.
Brought my girlfriend and her little brother out to eat as a little treat the environment was great and the food was solid, the server was not good, our server Mary greeted us with an attitude, sat us down gave us more attitude when we ordered a drink, we simply ask how many pieces of sushi if we ordered a roll then gave us a bad attitude response to a simple question. She rolled her eyes at us. She then later came back to ask for what we wanted to eat we asked her politely to give us five more minutes, she turned around and smacked her teeth! Me and my girlfriend discussed if we should even consider giving her a tip after the type of service she gave us from the beginning we walked through the doors, and our answer was this waiter does not deserve a tip after being rude to us throwing our plates on the table, smacking her lips rolling her eyes. We left and we made an honest mistake and forgot to sign our name on the recipet she ran out and started yelling at us, then smartly with an attitude said "thank you for the tip" and slammed the door, I talked to the manager about this situation. I left for 2 mins and notice I forgot something came back and asked if they seen my belongigns and the manager asked Mary if she had seen it or brought it to the back she said no but it turns out Mary did take it and lied about it. If you are the owner of this restaurant, please take the time to read this, we felt disrespected, we were lied too, and she basically stole something from me when she was asked and lied about it. We are very disappointed this restaurant is nice the food is nice, everyone else is nice and respectful but Mary, but since Mary was the server, and this was our first time at this restaurant it gave us a very sour and bitter first impression. The only person that deserved a tip was the young lady who cleaned our table and the young lady that refilled our drinks other then that my suggestion is to let go of Mary and find someone else who is well suited for that job because this nice restaurant shouldn't need that bad server and give yall a bad reputation. I hope our next experience will be better, and I hope we can work this out. Seen yall till then.
Our first time there. The atmosphere was pleasant and the service was also friendly. We ordered a squid steak, which was not very tasty. The makimonos are big and the portion is generous.
I had the pineapple fried rice with shrimp and Scallops. It was o k but I won't be getting it again. Not enough flavor.
Notice: I didn't see pork anywhere in the menu. The food was ok, the portions were ok, so was the price. I suppose it all matches up.
Good and atmosphere was great! Service was slow, but usually are not slow.
The place looks good. The people were right on top of things, but the food was not that great. The appetizer was good but small. Maybe I should have tried the sushi.
Nice neighborhood feel, friendly staff. Portion sizes are huge, good value. The place is a bit dirty, especially the bathroom. Kitchen staff seems to actually be Japanese so that's a plus.
